Potomac Supply Corporation of Kinsale is facing more financial hardship after laying off about a quarter of their workforce–57 employees–in December.

CEO William T. Carden issued a press release today stating that the company would temporarily shut down its manufacturing operations. Its bank has said they are unwilling to continue financing the company without additional capital investment.

Carden stated the company would continue to pursue new financing options, but if they are unsuccessful, an additional 168 people will lose their jobs.

Potomac Supply Corporation makes pallets, wood fuel pellets, treated lumber and other forest products.
