A Spotsylvania County man is facing an embezzlement charge after being accused of stealing several laptops while working as a contractor in Prince William County.
According to Prince William County Police Department spokesman Jonathan Perok, police began an investigation in January into the embezzlement of county property, which he said was discovered to have occurred between 2001 and 2004.
The investigation revealed that an employee with a contracting company that had been hired by the county at that time had allegedly stolen 20 laptops, each valued at $2,000, Perok said.

At the end of the investigation, 43-year-old James David Einhorn of the 11500 block of Tuck Trail in Spotsylvania was arrested and charged with embezzlement.
He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on April 4.

The corporate headquarters of a computer repair business called GeekForce of Virginia is listed as being located at Einhorn’s residence.
