I don’t mean to make too much of a comparison between Mitten’s and Rick’s religions, but ya’ know, even if nobody’s saying it, Mitt doesn’t have the right religion for Republicans.  Even if he did, they still wouldn’t think he’s religious enough.  It will be funny after Romney secures the nomination, that Republicans who suspect Obama’s religion and think he has a funny name…will be voting for a guy with a funny name and a religion they suspect.

And yes, Romney will eventually get the nomination….after a very long and difficult road.  We could see a lot of Republicans AND Democrats staying home this election.

I roughed this idea out yesterday.  Half the people in the newsroom I showed it to didn’t get it, while the other half loved it.  I put a label on the knight and my editor liked it.  Today, everyone I showed it to (after I labeled the knight) got it.  Our opinion editor didn’t get it because she’s never seen “The Last Crusade.”  I told her I can’t talk to her until she sees it.  How do you NOT rush out to see a movie with Harrison Ford and Sean Connery?  That movie still rocks.
