Though not much snow (check NOAA’s forecast here; you can also check the weather blog) is expected Wednesday night, the Virginia Department of Transportation and Virginia Railway Express are preparing for any potential impact.

VDOT will have snow removal crews out tonight watching Interstate 95 and primary and secondary roads, and will treat them if needed.

VDOT warns drivers to be aware of potentially slick roads tonight and Thursday morning, “especially on bridges, ramps and overpasses, which can freeze first.”

VRE is operating on its full, regular schedule today, and there are no expected changes to Thursday’s schedule. Any schedule changes for tomorrow will be made by 4:30 a.m.
